Sustainability

The San Marco Hotel in Enego, a tourist business for over a century, has developed a strong commitment to environmental issues by installing a large photovoltaic system, ensuring waste separation, and promoting awareness of the importance and value of water.

The Hotel also promotes awareness-raising campaigns among its guests regarding the important issue of respect for the environment, in order to preserve the places where our community lives.

Thanks to funding from the PNRR, the Hotel has implemented its own project aimed at respecting the environment, contributing to the social well-being of its community, generating a significant impact on the social, economic, and cultural life of the area, helping to improve the quality of life of residents and creating a healthier and more prosperous environment.

To achieve these goals, we first want to promote sustainable mobility through the use of e-bikes and electric quadricycles that we make available to customers and tourists, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact caused by internal combustion vehicles.

We equipped ourselves with this type of electric vehicle to promote the concept of sustainable tourism, which is increasingly important for tourist destinations like the Asiago Plateau.

We also believe it’s important to mitigate the risks posed by climate change by promoting water as an essential resource for the environment and the region. Water is a vital resource for human life and for our planet. In a world increasingly aware of the importance of sustainability, we want to highlight the importance of water as an essential resource by making its sustainable management a cornerstone of the hospitality experience, integrating ecology and water awareness to offer our guests an unforgettable and educational vacation.

Within our organization, we strive to place water at the center of our attention, aiming to foster respectful behavior regarding water consumption, reflecting the importance of water conservation as a primary and vital resource. We believe this is an ecological and environmental investment that contributes to preserving our planet’s most precious resource.

Some tips on how to save water

1. Reduce the time spent in the shower: you will significantly reduce energy costs and preserve your health;

2. Washing machines and dishwashers: Make sure you only run full loads.

3. Collect cold water: While you wait for the tap water to heat up, collect the cold water in a bucket for future use.

In a world where sustainability is crucial, every individual action taken to save water becomes a step towards a more responsible future.

Saving water isn’t just a simple practice, it’s a tangible commitment to the health of our planet. Every drop saved is an investment in a future where water remains an accessible and sustainable resource for all.

Finally, we highlight the importance of planetary sustainability by illustrating the environmental benefits that can be derived from initiatives of this type:

– Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Electric vehicles, such as e-bikes and electric quadricycles, are powered by electric batteries and do not emit direct exhaust gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx). This significantly contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, mitigating the greenhouse effect and climate change.

– Improved air quality: Using electric vehicles instead of internal combustion engines helps improve air quality. Cities and regions that promote the rental of e-bikes and electric quadricycles benefit from lower levels of air pollutants, such as fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), which are harmful to human health.

– Reduction of environmental noise: Electric vehicles are known for their quiet operation. This helps reduce noise pollution in natural areas, creating a more pleasant soundscape for residents, visitors, and especially wildlife.

– Saving natural resources: Electric e-bikes and quadricycles require fewer natural resources than traditional vehicles in terms of fossil fuels. The production of electric vehicles often uses less energy and raw materials, contributing to less pressure on the planet’s natural resources.
